About This Grant
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), in partnership with Innovate UK, is investing up to £5 million for on-farm trials and farm experiment projects. Part of the Farming Innovation Programme, this grant aims to test ideas or solutions that address major on-farm or immediate post-farmgate challenges. Proposed projects must demonstrate potential to significantly improve productivity, resilience, or sustainability (progression towards net zero) and clearly show how the solution will benefit other English farmers, growers, or foresters.
